On Spider-Man: The Animated Series for the Super NES, the logo is on a blue spiderweb BG. For reasons unknown, Acclaim revived the brand in 2000 to publish one Sega Dreamcast title, Spirit of Speed '37.
Even after Nintendo dropped the publishing limitations, LJN continued to publish games for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System and Game Boy as late as 1995, when the division was folded into Acclaim proper. Acclaim phased out the toy lines and liquidated the Entertech brand, so they could use the LJN brand to increase the number of games they could publish for the NES. The company was sold to Acclaim Entertainment in 1990, and published games for the Nintendo Entertainment System, Super Nintendo, and Game Boy that Acclaim acquired the rights to, as well as getting rid of their toy counterpart.

The company published movie tie-in and TV show-based games mainly for Nintendo consoles since 1987 and was owned by MCA. was an American toy company and video game publisher founded in 1970. (The company was already known for its WWF wrestling figures.) That same year, LJN had one of its greatest successes in action figures with ThunderCats (1985). In 1985, MCA/ Universal, which had been actively acquiring companies in the mid-1980s, acquired LJN for $66 million or $67 million in an effort to retain more profits from the merchandising of its film properties. Lewis initially backed the company financially, but later sold his interest to a Chinese investor. Lewis, whose toy company had employed Friedman as a sales representative in the 1960s. The name LJN came from the initials of Lewis J. While Disney would get their due thanks to Capcom the Looney Tunes were not so lucky. Whether they came from LJN or Activision some of the most beloved movie and cartoon franchises were done dirty in their video game incarnations. Licensed games were routinely terrible on the NES.
